Sahyajyothi Arts and Science College Kumily, Idukki is the first arts and science college started by Malankara Catholic Archdiocese of Thiruvalla. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It is ideally located on the campus of St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic Church at 1st Mile, Kumily on Kumily-Munnar Highway. The college aspires to serve higher educational aspirations to the people of Highrange region.

As the highly qualified and talented faculties with much experience know the art of teaching, all the classes are much interesting and students can easily learn their portions. Since all the teaching staffs are free with their students, they will always be comfort with them.
Unlike other campus, the calm and quite atmosphere makes sahyajyothi a perfect land of learning. The silent and cool climate brings a pleasant mood in every student and that keeps them always a fresh mind.
The library is having a wide range of book collection. The management always concentrate on keeping good quality and world class books for the reference on any subjects and this facility are utilizing by students as well as faculties of the college.
Since the college is run by management of malankara catholic arch diocese, they are always conscious on following good discipline in the college campus. The art of discipline can be seen easily on students in every aspect which will always bring success to them.
Beyond studies, sahyajyothi always promotes extracurricular activities which bring out the potential in every student of the college. This motivation moulds many artists as well as athletes from the college for the society.
Rather than teaching syllabus to students, Sahyajyothi disseminates the art of living to their students so as to ensure that every parent will get a good human in their children rather than getting a simple degree holder..
